Am I losing my mind?

Don't answer that.

A week ago, I lost my "bookmarks toolbar" after a recent Firefox update. I spent at least an hour trying to figure out, a. where it went, and b. how to get it back. And then I just gave up on the whole darned thing.

Today, I opened up my browser, and voila, the toolbar is back. Tricky trick. So here is a tricky haiku:

toolbar gone, then here -
firefox stealth update or
computer gremlins?

A recap of the last month:

soccer games (oldest won a legit trophy; her team earned second place in a soccer tourney)

grading papers. hundreds of them. need to stop assigning work. boo.

karaoke at women's church retreat: costumes of paper, duct tape, and foil were fabulous

homecoming float building

treat or tricking

oldest turned 14

Those were the non-parallel structured highlights. I plead the fifth on the rest.

Jana, your post reminds me of some of the best times of my life. I may have been too busy to realize it, but the connections with my own children, my students, and my friends were vital to my health and happiness. Enjoy it -- even if you won't remember it in the morning!

You plead the fifth on the rest?

I recommend a rest on the fifth. That's tomorrow, by the way.

Loved the karaoke video. Congrats on the trophy! Sam's team is unlikely to win any trophies this year. I do think we should get a league award for having 100% turnout to our final games even though we are guaranteed to end up in last place.

My bookmarks toolbar also went AWOL in Firefox. I figured out that it was because the Google search toolbar was hogging the entire horizontal space on startup. My solution is to hide, then un-hide, the bookmarks toolbar. Pain in the neck, but it works.

@karen - thanks for the advice - I will remember to enjoy the roller coaster even though I may be screaming. :) Seriously, though, you are right. It may be a crazy life, but it's full of love and surprises.

@pjd - I meant that I need to drink a fifth to the rest. :) But a rest on the 5th sounds nice. How can I make that happen... :) Glad you liked the video - we had fun; the last place finish is usually the case with k.c.s team, so this was a total surprise. Your team deserves a trophy for tenacity. :) Thanks for the tip - i knew Google was an information hog, and now I have proof!

karaoke video?

Sometimes the gremlins strike and I've learnt to just leave as they usually right themselves.

Congrats on the win and have a good fun filled Friday!

All that without a 'real' race to train for! Glad I got to enjoy the ducttaping escapades with you.

Seriously. If you care about our friendship STOP giving the poor children assignments.

They have more serious issues to deal with. Completing all those games on play station is a daunting task, you know!

Living busy is a good way to live. IMHO. So cheer up.

PS: You can just give them all an "A". That should take care of one trouble. :D
