Okay, I was on vacation.
From my job.
Only I never went anywhere.
Except for to Reno,
the editing chair,
soccer practices,
a soccer game,
and to the Jelly Belly factory.
Highlights include
hotel buffet meals,
late night paper edits -
introduction re-writes,
transition inclusions -
for Poetroad's grad papers,
a pulled hamstring,
a tie game,
and jelly bean eating.
Or are those the low-lights?

Oh they are most definitely HIGH-lights. :-D
I would love to go on such a vacation.
Hope you are doing fine on the 'pulled hamstring' part. :-)
hotel buffet meals and jelly bean eating? highlights, no question :)
and sorry about the hamstring you pulled. better now?
and i could do with a vacation. even a small one.
They sound like highlights to me! Even the editing is an act of love rather than a chore.
Sometimes the best vacations are those that simply let us vacate routine. Reno, running, reading, writing, and I-can't-think-of-an-"r"-word for jelly bean eating --sounds like a vacation to me!
having a break from the norm was definitely terrific!
thanks, all, for the inquiry... the hamstring is much better now...although i was very worried for a few days that i might need a month or two to recover! Definitely couldn't run - and had trouble walking even - until today. But things are looking up! :)
Very happy to hear that!
In your case LITERALLY speaking "You'll be up and running in no time" lol
Pulled Hamstring? I'm really sorry. Those can take forever to fully heal. I've had one and I "got back on TRACK" too early, and I think that's causing me long-term issues. Take the time necessary to heal!!! (More than you think...it will be worth it in the long RUN.)
Thanks for stopping by! I'm learning. Check into the Big Five Marathon (thru So. African game reserves). Maybe that'll be our Big Trip.
"Reno" and "Jelly Belly" spoken in the same breath while skipping over "soccer" can only lead to no good. Thank-God for soccer! Hate to imagine any other cause of pulled hamstrings.
Glad to hear the hamstring's making a recovery. Hamstring injuries suck.
seems google ate my post... again! grrrrrrrr
