News Flash

Poetroad caught the mouse and released it back into the wild (aka "the field"). I wanted the mouse dead, but daughter number three cried hysterically at the mere mention of the word "dead" used in conjunction with the word "mouse."

"No! Noooooooooo, motherrrrrr! You know how mutch I looooove little creatuuuureth!" she sobbed. "I want to take care of iiiiiiit. Don't kiiiiiiill that cute little mooooousth!"

Sticky traps work well for such a predicament. Although the cute little mouse is missing quite a bit of fur now.

I think you missed out on the possibility of a creative appetizer idea.

When we saw a mouse in our house several years ago, we set out sticky traps. Never caught the bugger. But a few days later we found a smallish king snake in our family room, and we never saw the mouse again. I must have looked comical ejecting the snake from our house. Remember Michael Keaton in the scene where he's disposing of the diapers after feeding the baby chili? Yeah, like that but without the clothespin.

Oh the joys of mice. Haven't had any in Sac that I know of, but we did in Michigan...just one year. When they invaded my pantry and Brendon's dresser, I declared war. Nothing like a little decon instead of food in the pantry. Worked like a charm. Of course, my little animal lover wasn't born yet, so I had more options open to me :).
