Mile 17

I'd like to stop now.

And then?

That would be it, then, I guess.

How would you get back?

The same way I came.

But how?

Walk, I suppose.

Yes, you could walk.

That would take too long.

Yes it would.

What are my other options?

Keep going, I suppose.

I knew you would say that.

What did you want me to say?

Nothing.

I see that you aren't walking.

Like I said, that would take too long.

Right.

If you used a Blackberry, you could have posted this while you actually were AT mile 17. Or maybe you did?

lol, I can't imagine texting and running! If that already isn't against the law, then it should be...

"A woman in Sacramento was tragically killed today when she unknowingly ran in front of a dump truck. It seems that she was texting while training to run a marathon..."

What about taking pictures while you are running?

I've had to banish my blackberry while I'm driving -- addictive!

So, you're a runner? I like the poem about keeping on.

Lol - okay, Jane, you've got me there. so I did shoot a video while I was running that 20 mile trail run...

I really need to put that video together and post it here. It's pretty ridiculous. Who does that?!!

Karen - yes, I am a runner. But I'm not a proficient or efficient runner, lol. Still, I do like to run. Thanks - glad you liked my poem. :)

solitary writer - I'm very flattered! I've sent you an e-mail so that you can give me some more details. :)

That words could come out of your mouth at mile 17 is a miracle! I fall over dead at the thought of even getting there!!

A metaphor for lots of things.

As Dori says, "just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."

Nicely done. :)

Thanks Dave. :) Indeed, I think I've had this same conversation with myself several times over the past few weeks, and only a few times has that happened while I've been running. :)

Thanks, Jason. :) We love Nemo (and the many lessons learned via the movie) here! Glad you enjoyed it. :)
